GIVING:
Many servants of God struggle with the issue of tithing. In some churches giving is over-emphasized. At the same time, many Christians refuse to submit to the biblical exhortations about making offerings to the Lord. Tithing/giving should be given with pure motives towards pleasing the Lord. (Proverbs 3:9-10)
The Bible declares in (2 Corinthians 9:7) that “God loves a cheerful giver,” for no gift given to God is unrewarded – it is a seed, and it always returns to us. Why? Because God Himself gave us the Ultimate Gift: His Only Begotten Son. God is a Giver!
When we forget this simple truth and consider God a taker, and not a giver, we rob God of the glory due Him for all that He has already given and will continue to give. But we also rob our seed of its power. God did not give Jesus without expecting. He sowed Jesus as a seed, in order to reap a harvest – a family – you and I. Therefore, we also should give… with EXPECTATION.
In (Luke 6:38) Jesus promises that He will provide in measures unequal to those that do not give. God informs us that there will be so much provided that we wouldn't be able to contain it. This doesn't have to be monetary, it can also come in the form of blessings as well.”
(Malachi 3:10) says to test the Lord. It is the only place in the Bible that God informs us to test Him. The Lord is more than happy to provide for those that trust him, not just with finances, but with their whole heart.
We pray that the Spirit of Almighty God will surround you, your family, and your loved ones now, and bless you as you give with expectation.
